Hyatt House Jersey City
The Hyatt House Jersey City opened in 2017. The hotel is located in the Exchange Place neighborhood of Jersey City directly next to the Exchange Place Station on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail which runs north to North to Hoboken and North Bergen, NJ and south to Bayonne, NJ. The hotel is also located one block from the Exchange Place PATH Station which runs east to the World Trade Center in lower Manhattan and west to Newark Penn Station in Newark, NJ. Nestled between the two transit systems it is a prime overflow destination when Manhattan hotels are running at peak occupancy. The 258 all-suite guest room hotel is an adaptive re-use of a 97-year old bank building, the First National Bank of Jersey City, representing an investment of more than $90 million. The 14-story, residential inspired, extended-stay hotel will feature 10,000 square feet of street-level retail space with the most unique attribute of the hotel being the retractable glass rooftop lounge with views of the NYC skyline and Statute of Liberty. The Hyatt House Jersey City is an all-suite hotel which will include a full hot buffet breakfast, made to order omelet station and Wi-Fi differentiating it from many of the other hotels in Jersey City.
